Photos from StevesDigitalDarkroom
It’s been a while. Stuff happens, as they say. And recently I have been editing a whole backlog of images taken this year (and last) with the intention of posting them in my eventual, lethargic, oneday, soon, maybe, mañana style of working. Well, I will post them. Just not today. This crazy weather world means that unusually late allergies have kicked in. Not pretty.
Last week I took a stroll around the grounds of our estate looking at the garden near the west wing (ok, ok I’m kidding, it’s just a garden the size of a postage stamp) noticing the change that is now taking place. It is the end of summer. Flowers and blooms seemed past their best and I’d missed the opportunity for some floral photos. But then I saw the beauty in the fading vegetation and my iPhone came out of my pocket to grab a few quick shots. Feeling somewhat miserable and sorry for myself today, amidst coughing, a wet nose and even wetter eyes I imported the images into Lightroom and processed them to show the colours and detail that reflected the feel of the fading summer.

Above and below, late flowering Yellow Coneflower, Echinacea

Hope you liked my little floral indulgence. The next post will surely be a little faster and in less than eighteen months. Promise.. oneday… soon… maybe..
