Mobile on a bike
I like to go cycling. I like going out taking photographs.
Once upon a time it was really either / or. Whilst I can’t carry my big camera bag with my mirrorless Fuji and lenses on a bike I can, these days, combine the two by using the mobile phone camera. I know, I know, the quality is not the same but many situations can be captured with today’s phones and then edited in the digital darkroom afterwards, not least to avoid some of the automatic adjustments that the phone manufacturers carry out.
Last Friday evening was a perfect example of getting out on the bike equipped with camera phone when I took advantage of a rare warm and sunny October day by having a ride around the lanes of the East Riding. With the sun lowering in the sky, casting longer shadows, the warm still air and quiet roads it was an idyllic occasion, a moment to appreciate nature and peace.

Going mobile… …with my mobile
The lighting was superb and I felt the need to stop frequently to capture some images and share the moment.
Here is a selection, please enjoy.
Technical: All images captured with the iPhone 12 Pro Max in RAW using the Halide Camera app. Post processed mostly in Lightroom Classic and some with the Topaz AI suite.

Thoroughly enjoyed your images. Excellent Autumnal colours. And you exercised too.
We’ve been on a lovely canal and coastal walk today. Managed to get lost, again. Got our feet wet in a bog we should not have been near.
